Our family of more than 16,000 team members provides excellent, clinically-distinctive care to tens of thousands of patients each and every day across the country, and Amedisys is committed to excellence in all facets of this care delivery. We’re proud of our team for all the well-deserved recognitions and acknowledgements we’ve received over the years.
Top Amedisys Care Teams Nationwide Achieve HomeCare Elite Status
In 2016, 45 percent of Amedisys’ care centers across the country were named to the HomeCare Elite™, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. This includes 14 care centers on the Top 500 list and an additional four on the Top 100 list. For more than ten years, HomeCare Elite has annually identified the top 25 percent of agencies.
We Honor Veterans
We Honor Veterans is a national awareness campaign conducted by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Its goal is to help hospice professionals better understand the challenges veterans may be facing from illness, isolation or traumatic life experiences and guide them to a more peaceful death.
2016 Hospice Honors
Hospice Honors is a prestigious, annual honor recognizing hospice care centers that continuously provide the highest level of care and satisfaction as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. An impressive 50 percent of Amedisys’ hospice care centers received Hospice Honors recognition. Two of these earned the distinction of Honors Elite, meaning they scored above the national average on 100 percent of the performance measure indicators.
Spirit of Excellence
The Spirit of Excellence awards allow Amedisys to celebrate the heart and soul of who we are and what we do by recognizing excellence and achievement in our employees. Every year, all our employees have the opportunity to nominate their colleagues for our most prestigious internal award.
