Amedisys Emergency Information

The well-being of our patients and employees is of the utmost importance at Amedisys. These pages serve to communicate with patients, employees and their families in the event of a disaster affecting our communities.

In areas that are dealing with power outages, flooding and damage from tropical weather, our nurses, therapists and other caregivers are coordinating with our patients to ensure their safety and that their medical needs are taken care of.

For Patients

When evacuating ahead of a storm, please let us know your plans, either by letting your nurse or therapist know, or by calling your care center.

Following a disaster, we work tirelessly to account for all of our patients and continue to provide the care you need. If you are able, please call your care center or our toll-free number, 1.888.CARE.012 (1.888.227.3012) after a disaster to update us on your status.

If a natural disaster causes you to relocate, we'll help re-establish your home health or hospice care at your new location, even if it's outside the Amedisys service area.

If you need to contact Amedisys and cannot get in touch with your local care center, or you need to notify us of your relocation, please call our toll-free number, 1.888.CARE.012 (1.888.227.3012).

For Employees
